EQT, school board discuss details of road use

Photo by Amy Cherry EQT Community Advisor Josie Schultz and F. Fenton Cummings spoke with the SMASD board of directors Thursday evening regarding details of an agreement between the two entities for use of a road next to Bennetts Valley Elementary School.

Representatives from EQT Corp. were in attendance at the St. Marys Area School District board of directors meeting on Thursday evening to answer any questions in regard to the right-of-way the company has obtained for use of a road located next to Bennetts Valley Elementary School.
EQT Community Advisor Josie Schultz said in the new agreement they have included a clause stating the company will return the road to good or better condition than it was found. Also added in the agreement were the installation of safety fencing between the school and the road.
