Elizabeth J. "Bette" Gregory

Elizabeth J. "Bette" Gregory, 81, a recent resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home, and formerly of Elk Towers, St. Marys, died on Wednesday, April 3, 2013.
She was born January 18, 1932 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Joseph and Emma Friedl Grande.
She was a member of Queen of the World. She retired from Stackpole Carbon Company after more than 22 years of service. She was a member of the C.M.F., Kersey Legion Auxiliary, Piedmont Club and the Kersey Eagles. She enjoyed bingo and playing cards. She enjoyed helping others and assisting with catering in her younger years. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Gregory and his wife Sharon of St. Marys and David Gregory of St. Marys; two daughters, Susan Wendel of St. Marys and Lisa, Mrs. Joseph DeWald of St. Marys; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Howard "Pooch" Grande and his girlfriend Laura Newell of St. Marys; and a sister, Marie Hill of Blairsville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Joseph, Earl, Norbert and LeRoy Grande; four sisters, Anna Ramarge, Alice Mahovolich, Esther Rydesky and Helen Grande in early childhood; and a son-in-law, Daniel Himes.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service for Elizabeth J. "Bette" Gregory which will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 North Michael Street, St. Marys, on Saturday, April 13, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Ferrick, Pastor, ofïŹciating.
Burial will be in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
