Edith T. Agosti, 94, of Bennetts Valley Highway, Weedville, died Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Sarah Reed Retirement Center in Erie.
She was born August 15, 1918 in Byrnedale, daughter of the late Andrew and Maddelena (Picchetti) Panighetti.
In February 1943 she married Sylvester Agosti and he preceded her in death on March 26, 1980.
Mrs.Agosti lived all her life in Bennetts Valley and was a member of St. Joseph Church. She worked at Airco Speer for many years. She loved traveling and her family.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, Andrea Keller of Grampian, Buz Panighetti of DuBois, Camille Reitz of Brookville, Deanne Nelson of Nokomis, Fla., Richard Panighetti of Erie, Karen Krahe of Erie, Mike Panighetti of Erie, Dan Panighetti of Erie, and Viki Hedderick of Erie.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Andrew, Mario, Geno, and John Panighetti; and two sisters in their youth, Iridi and Inez Panighetti. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Edith T. Agosti will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 3 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Force, with Father Thomas Tyler officiating.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Force.
Visitation will be held at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home in Penfield on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:30-9:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the St. Joseph Church or a favorite charity.
