Two individuals and one local organization were honored on Saturday evening for their contributions to the arts in Elk County during the Elk County Council on the Arts (ECCOTA) annual gala.
The 2014 "Heart in the Arts" award recipients, all of whom were chosen by ECCOTA's Board of Directors and staff, were Elkwood Arts, Jason Phipps and Deborah Pontzer.
"This year marks ECCOTA's 30th year serving the residents of Elk County and we are thrilled to be honoring those who have helped to make sure our mission is met in providing the area with opportunities for public participation in the arts," said ECCOTA Executive Director Abbi Peters.
