ECCHS students attend district band festival

Five Elk County Catholic High School Students attended PMEA’s District 2 Band Festival at Youngsville High School on Feb. 5 -7. Pictured left to right are Lizzy Glatt, Ann Ordiway, Kathryn Nicklas, Lexi Knight, and Rachel Glatt will spend three days rehearsing with students from around the Northwestern area. Auditions for Regional band will take place on the first day before practices begin. Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) serves the schools and communities in Northwestern Pennsylvania, offering opportunities for students to be challenged with the next level of performance. This year’s festival will conclude on Friday, Feb. 7 with a concert at 7:30 p.m. at Youngsville High School. Mr. Harris Lanzel, past president of District 2 PMEA and retire band director of Eisenhower High school will be the guest conductor.
