Warm temperatures and plenty of sunshine on Tuesday afternoon was no April Fool's Day joke. The weather was finally nice enough for baseball, and the St. Marys Area Flying Dutchmen opened their 2014 season as they faced the Warren Dragons at Berwind Park, which hosted its first baseball game in May 1914 and is celebrating its 100th anniversary this season. Though the Dragons recorded a 15-2 victory in five innings, the Dutchmen were happy to at least be outside and playing baseball. Their previous three scheduled games had all been cancelled due to lingering winter weather.
