Donations being sought for Christmas in Kentucky program

October 30, 2013

Photo submitted Shown with Christmas in Kentucky Founder, Laura Kuntz, are Shawna and Jayden Lawson, who are two of many recipients for this year's program. Over the summer Kuntz was part of a crew which helped repair the children's home.

Throughout her years organizing the Christmas in Kentucky program, local teacher Laura Kuntz has serviced over 150 less fortunate families since the program's inception in 1996.
Each year Kuntz travels 10 hours to Beatyville, Ky. where she works with two social workers in setting up a gift shop and distributing the items to those in need.
"None of this could be done without the support of the people of the St. Marys area," Kuntz said.
