David J. Zimmett

David J. Zimmett, 67, a recent resident of the Kane Lutheran Home and formerly of Ridgway and St. Marys, died on Friday morning, March 29, 2013 following a lengthy illness.
He was born Feb 17, 1946 in St. Marys, a son of Madeline Wilson Zimmett of St. Marys and the late Joseph Zimmett.
He was Methodist by faith and had been a member of Ridgway United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy. He worked for a number of years at Stackpole Carbon Company and also worked home construction.
He was an avid fisherman and a devoted Yankees fan.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, David Pearsall and his wife Trina of Eldred, and Nathan Pearsall of St. Marys; four grandchildren; and two brothers, Daniel Zimmett of St. Marys, and Stephen Zimmett and his wife Mary Jo of St. Marys; two nephews Eric Zimmett and his wife Jamie of Bellefonte and Sean Zimmett of St. Marys along with several aunts, uncles and cousins .
Funeral services for David J. Zimmett will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 140 N. St. Marys Street, St. Marys, on Monday, April 1 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Chris Kindle, Pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the St. Marys Protestant Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys, on Monday morning from 9-10:30 a.m.
