Crusaders beat Cranberry 13-3 to win D9-A crown

Photo by Jim Mulcahy The Elk County Catholic Crusader baseball team captured the District 9 Class A Baseball Championship Thursday afternoon at Brockway by defeating the Cranberry Berries 13-3 in five innings.

The Elk County Catholic Crusaders came up with eight runs on seven hits and four walks in the home half of the fifth inning to capture the District 9 Class A baseball championship over the Cranberry Berries by a 13-3 score.
