Crusader baseball advances with 6-3 win over Elkers

Ridgway second baseman Cody Delhunty was unable to make the tag due to an overthrow, and Gerber eventually went on to score and tie the game at 2-2.

Things got off to a shaky start for the Elk County Catholic Crusaders on Thursday afternoon as they gave up two runs in the top of the first inning to the Ridgway Elkers, but ECC was eventually able to take the lead and fend off an attempted rally by the Elkers to come away with a 6-3 victory in the District 9 Class A quarterfinal contest at Berwind Park.
