Corbett budget fails to make the grade with SMASD

The St. Marys Area School District Board of Supervisors at Monday's meeting during which they discussed the potential impact of Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett's proposed 2013 - 2014 budget on the district.
Following the introduction of Governor Tom Corbett's proposed $28.4 billion state spending plan for 2013-2014 educators like St. Marys Area School District Superintendent Ann Kearney are contending that the individual allocations are inadequate when considering the increased costs associated with maintaining the district's day to day operations.
