Cookie program paves way for Girl Scouts

January 11, 2014

Photo submitted Cadette Troop 20855 from St. Marys is shown at WLD Ranch in Girard during one of their many adventures. Shown from left to right are scouts Isabelle Grunenwald, Maddy Bowes, Maddy Dippold, Mackenzie Reyes, Chloe Eckert, Cassie Dippold, Kayla Burns, and Abby Mattivi.

In addition to ringing in the new year, the first week of January also marked the kick off of the Girl Scout Cookie Program, an annual tradition many look forward to.
Girl Scout cookies are among the most well-known brands in the world, but few know about the important skills girls learn from the program including goal setting, money management, decision making, people skills, and business ethics
These are skills that girls use throughout their lives to help them excel, exceed and lead. No university has produced as many female business owners as the Girl Scout Cookie Program.
