Clyde "Punky" Nelson III

Clyde "Punky" Nelson III, 33, of 427 Biddle Street, Kane, died Thursday evening (May 23, 2013) of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near the intersection of Route 66 and Route 948 in Highland Township.
He was born June 15, 1979, in Kane, a son of Clyde and Joyce Robinson Nelson.
Mr. Nelson was employed by ITL on Montmorenci. He was a member of the Ridgway Loyal Order of the Moose and a former member of the Kane Moose #130.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three brothers, Rick Rockwell of Bradford, Roy Rockwell of Kane, and Randy Rockwell of Clarendon; a sister, Tonya McMahon of Kane; two uncles, Walt Nelson and Glen Robinson; six aunts, Barb (Rick) Heckard, Linda (Terry) Rockwell, Sandy Stratiff, Vicki Cline, Donna Mae Smith and Stephanie Bernhard; four nephews, Eugene McMahon, Braden Rockwell, Royce Rockwell and Maverick Miller; and five cousins, Shane Nelson, Michele Heckard, Michael Heckard, Kenny Robinson and Jim Hughes.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and again from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday. A funeral service will follow Wednesday at 11 a.m. 
Burial will be at Gibbs Hill Cemetery.
