Clair G. Dippold

Clair G. Dippold, 80, of 185 Center St., Elk Towers, St. Marys, and formerly of Schissle Street, died early Friday morning, Dec. 6, 2013, at the Elk Haven Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
He was born Nov. 7, 1933 in St. Marys, son of the late Joseph and Josephine Kraft Dippold. He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Marys Schools. He was a retired employee of the Stackpole Carbon Company.
Mr. Dippold was a member of the St. Mary’s Church. He was a very religious person to his faith.
He is survived by a niece, Cindy Griech; a nephew, Jim Nelson; a great niece, Renee Dreher and her husband Nheel; a great nephew, Carl Griech; a sister-in-law, Delores Dippold; and several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Carolyn Dippold, Lavina Dippold, Rita Steudler, and Esther Nelson; and three brothers, Henry Dippold, Victor Dippold, and Lavern Dippold. He was the last member of his immediate family.
Family and friends of Clair G. Dippold are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the St. Mary’s Church on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Thomas More Sikora, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the St. Joseph’s Monastery Memorial Fund, 303 Church St., St. Marys, PA 15857, or to the Elk Haven Nursing Home, 785 Johnsonburg Rd., St. Marys, PA 15857.
