Celine M. Schlimm, 74, of 569 Maurus St., St. Marys, died at her residence on Sunday, May 1, 2011.
She was born Sept. 29, 1936 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Vincent and Florence Simbeck Schlimm.
Miss Schlimm was a member and a volunteer at St. Mary's Church. She graduated from St. Vincent School of Nursing in 1957. She retired from being a registered nurse at Elk Regional Health Center for many years. During her time at the hospital, she worked in the operating room and also with orthopedic surgeons. She was treasurer for the Nurses Study Club for over 40 years. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, reading, and gardening.  She also enjoyed devoting her time to her family, nieces, and nephews.
She is survived by a brother, Fr. Chrysostom V. Schlimm, OSB, of St.Vincent Archabbey in Latrobe; a sister, Helene and her husband Alan Weis of St. Marys; three nephews, Mark Weis and his wife Michele of Pittsburgh, John "Jack" Weis of Kersey, and Kieran P. Weis of Ridgway; a niece, Celine Ann and her husband Craig Huff of St. Marys; three great-nieces, Kayla Weis, Taylor Huff, and Jordan Huff; and three great-nephews, Ryan Weis, Jonathan Weis, and Joshua Weis.  
A Mass of Christian Burial for Celine M. Schlimm will be celebrated at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Church Street in St. Marys, on Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Chrysostom Schlimm, OSB, as celebrant.
Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m.
