St. Marys Catholic Middle School students are set to perform the energetic, uplifting musical "Godspell, Jr." in which the parables of Jesus Christ come to life with abundant humanity and heart. Showtime is Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Elk County Catholic High School auditorium.
"The show is fun as well as entertaining. There are songs in the show that audience members will recognize, the most famous to be "Day by Day" in my opinion," said Chelsea Bloam, director and St. Marys Catholic Elementary School teacher. "Also the show allows the actors to 'show' parables found in the Bible. There are some serious parts in the show, but they do not outshine the fun and energetic moments."
