Betty Joan Pounds Gagliardi

Betty Joan Pounds Gagliardi, 76, of Nitrate Street, Tyler, died at home on Saturday, April 27, 2013 after a lengthy illness.
She was born January 31, 1937 in Irvona, daughter of the late Edward Harper and Drucilla (Isenburg) Pounds.
On April 24, 1956 she married Dominick Gagliardi, and he preceded her in death on May 23, 1974.  
A housewife, she has been a Bennetts Valley resident since 1950. She enjoyed crocheting and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by three children, Nancy Hickox of Tyler, Karen Craddock of Tyler, and Lorie Gagliardi of Tyler; three grandchildren, Brandon Gagliardi, Shane Gagliardi, and T.J. Hickox; four great-great-grandchildren, Jayden Courson, and Adam, Aubrie, and Andrew Gagliardi; and four siblings, Charles Pounds of Tyler, Andrea Houllion of Punxsutawney, Richard Pounds of St. Marys, and Robert Pounds of Martinsburg, W.Va.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, David Gagliardi; two brothers, Edward Harper Pounds Jr. "Sonny" and Gary Pounds; and four sisters, Mary Jane Pounds, Eleanor Pounds, Pearl Taylor, and Peggy Crites.
A Memorial Service for Betty Joan Pounds Gagliardi will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 3 at the Weedville United Methodist Church, Weedville, PA with Pastor David Nagele officiating.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Church Cemetery, Force.
Family will be receiving friends at the Weedville United Methodist Church from 12-1 p.m. on Friday, May 3.
