Betty Jean Yale

Betty Jean Yale, 69, of 220 Fairview R, Kersey, and formerly of 123 Hollow Rd., Kersey, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at her home after a lengthy illness.
She was born April 16, 1944 in Baxter, daughter of the late Harold C. and Betty K. Wonderling Terwilliger Sr. She was a lifelong resident of the area, attended Kersey schools, and was a graduate of St. Marys High School, Class of 1962.
On Nov. 19, 1967, in Brockport, she married Richard W. Yale, who preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 2009.
She is survived by three daughters, Laurie Miller and her husband Scott of Kersey, Valerie Bauer and her husband Walter of St. Marys, and Melissa Riddle and her husband David of St. Marys; two sons, Richard E. Yale and his wife Diane of Rew, and Harold Yale and his wife Linda of Kersey; seven grandchildren, Mark, Matt, Justin, Cassey, Stacie, Stephanie, and Michael; two sisters, Alda Mae Nearing of Kersey and Evelyn Terwilliger of St. Marys; four brothers, Harold C. Terwilliger Jr. of St. Marys, Larry Terwilliger of Smethport, Fred Terwilliger of Kersey, and Thomas Terwilliger of Maryland; and by multiple nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Yale enjoyed camping, search word books, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Betty Jean Yale will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, officiating. Burial will follow in the Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Sunday evening, Oct. 13, 2013, from 5-8 p.m.
