Amy C. Ford, age 88, of Johnsonburg, died Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Mt. Laurel Nursing Home in Clearfield after a lengthy illness.
She was born July 23, 1924 in Arroyo, daughter of the late Clarence and Ella Laura (Sarvey) Shaffer.
She was married to Jordan Ford; he preceded her in death in July 1995.
A Protestant by faith, she lived most of her life in Johnsonburg and worked at St. Marys Hospital Pharmacy for many years.
She is survived by a son, Ronald Ford of St. Marys; a daughter-in-law, Theresa Ford of Johnsonburg; two grandchildren, Bryan and Ronald Ford Jr.; and one great-grandchild, Travis Ford.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by seven siblings: five brothers, Woodrow, Paul, Mike, and Doyle Shaffer, and Ralph Cummings; and two sisters, Lorraine VanLouvender and Esther Sayn.
Public visitation for Amy C. Ford will be held on Tuesday, March 19 from 12 until 2 p.m. at Ubel Funeral Home. Services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Bob Johnson officiating. Burial will take place in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ubel Funeral Home, Johnsonburg.
