St. Marys Area School District students are benefitting from the services provided by two local AmeriCorps teachers, Karen Wendel and Dave Herbstritt. Each teacher explained their involvement with the program during a recent St. Marys Area School District board of directors workshop.
Joe Collins, SMASD director of curriculum and instruction, introduced the teachers.
"I'm very happy to have these two fine people join St. Marys and helping us through AmeriCorps and I appreciate Americorps for providing this," Collins said.
