Access Road streetlights lighting up soon

August 10, 2014

The streetlights on Access Road, located in the Elk County Industrial Park, will be upgraded as they have been turned off since November 2013. Members of St. Marys City Council approved a motion to turn on the electric service to the lights at a cost of $75/month totaling $900/year. All the lights are in good working condition.
Councilmen Ned Jacob was the only member who cast an opposing vote.
The Elk County Industrial Development Authority (ECIDA) recently notified city officials they do not plan to take any action on the Access Road lights which they turned over to the city last month as they are situated on a city-maintained road.
