The Dutch wrestlers treated fans to another exciting come-from-behind victory on Tuesday night in their final home dual meet of the season as they traded the lead five times with the Redbank Valley Bulldogs, trailing 28-27 headed into the final bout before rallying for the 33-28 win.

SMA swim and dive teams split with Clearfield

The St. Marys Area swim and dive teams split with the Clearfield squads during SMA's final home meet of the season Monday night at the SMAHS natatorium. The Lady Dutch defeated the Lady Bison 128-54, but the Bison beat the Dutchmen 125-58.

Lady Crusaders improve to 21-0, down Lady Dutch

The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusaders clinched the District 9 League title Saturday afternoon with a 50-29 victory over the St. Marys Area Lady Dutch in a game played at the ECCHS gym. It was also Senior Day for Elk Catholic as the senior players and their parents were recognized in pre-game ceremonies.

SMA gymnasts close out regular season with loss

Members of the St. Marys Area High School gymnastics team closed out their regular season with a 130.2-125.525 loss to Altoona Saturday at a meet held on the road in Altoona.

The Elk County Catholic Crusaders defeated the St. Marys Area Flying Dutchmen by a 73-41 score in a District 9 League game played Friday night at the ECCHS gym on Senior Parent Night.

Groll wins City Singles title

The finals of the John Skok Memorial Bowling Tournament (City Singles) were held last weekend at the CYMA alleys with Dave Molella, Dave Clyde, Bill Groll and Jesse Beimel reaching the finals. They bowled a four-game series and the total pinfall determined the final placement. The event was sponsored by St. Marys Moose Family Center #146.
After all four games were completed, Bill Groll stood as the victor with a series of 818. He had four games of 203, 209, 176 and 230.

Lady Dutch defeat DCC 38-26 in final home game of season

The St. Marys Area Lady Dutch basketball team celebrated Senior Night with a 38-26 victory over the DuBois Central Lady Cardinals Thursday night at the SMAHS Dutch Oven in their final home game of the season.

The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusaders remained perfect on the season with a 63-39 District 9 League victory over the Brookville Lady Raiders Wednesday night at the ECCHS gym on Grade School Appreciation Night.
