St. Marys Junior Sofball all-stars beat Ridgway 7-3

The Ridgway softball 13- and 14-year-old all-stars lost 7-3 to St. Marys in action Thursday at the Ridgway Little League fields located along Grant Road.
St. Marys took the lead in the first inning. The St. Marys all-stars were designated as the visiting team and Jackie Lenze led off the game with a single. Lenze would eventually score the game's first run on a wild pitch. Rachel Stauffer walked with one out and would score on a Ridgway throwing error to make the lead 2-0 for St. Marys after half an inning.

St. Marys Minor Softball Stars fall to DuBois 10-9

The St. Marys Little League Softball Minor League All-Stars put up a good fight, but ultimately fell to DuBois 10-9 on Thursday evening in a game that saw the lead change four times.
Rebekka Bauer worked all six innings for St. Marys, giving up eight hits, walking eight and striking out eight. DuBois' Molly Nosker also went the distance, giving up six hits, walking three and striking out 14.

Legion advances to finals with 14-5 win over Bradford

The St. Marys Legion baseball team advanced to the championship series of the Elk County Legion Baseball League by defeating the Bradford Legion two games to none.
St. Marys won the series last night as they defeated Bradford by a 14-5 score in a game played at the Mt. Jewett field.

St. Marys 10-11 baseball stars beat Warren 10-3

The St. Marys Little League Baseball 10-11-year-old all-star team opened play in the District 10 Tournament Tuesday night by defeating the Warren squad by a 10-3 score in a game played at Memorial Park.
St. Marys will now play the winner of last night’s Punxsutawney at DuBois game on Thursday at 6 p.m. at a site to be determined.
St. Marys had six hits in last night’s game, as Gabe Kraus had a double and a single, Timmy Wehler tripled, Austin Sadosky had two singles and Hayden Tettis singled.

St. Marys Legion rallies to beat Bradford 5-4

The St. Marys Legion baseball team took a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three series against the Bradford squad in the Elk County Legion Baseball League by defeating Bradford 5-4 last night at Berwind Park.
The second game of the series will be played tonight at 5:30 at the Mt. Jewett field.
In last night’s game, St. Marys collected seven hits. Ben Daghir had a double and a single, while Luke Daghir doubled. Ricky Pearsall, Kevin Hoy, Jordan Weinzierl and Luke Nicklas all singled.

St. Marys Senior baseball stars advance to District 10 finals

The St. Marys Little League Baseball Senior all-stars advanced to the finals of the District 10 Tournament with a 10-3 victory over the Cameron County squad Monday afternoon at Berwind Park.
St. Marys will be off until Saturday when they play the winner of Wednesday’s Cameron County vs. DuBois game, which is the finals of the loser’s bracket. The site has yet to be determined for either game.

St. Marys 11-12 baseball stars come from behind to beat Ridgway 10-7

The St. Marys 11-12-year-old all-stars came from behind to beat the Ridgway all-stars by a 10-7 score Sunday afternoon at Memorial Park.
Ridgway was leading the contest 7-5 going into the top half of the sixth. St. Marys came up with five runs in that inning to record the 10-7 victory.
St. Marys is in action tonight at 6 p.m. against the loser of the Punxsutawney vs. DuBois game that was also played on Sunday. This will be the finals of the loser’s bracket.

The St. Marys Little League Junior All-Stars used a strong nine-run first inning to set the stage for their victory over the Ridgway Little League All-Stars Sunday afternoon at Memorial Park. After building a large lead, St. Marys’ batters were able to answer Ridgway’s runs and cruised to a 14-4 victory in five innings.

St. Marys Softball 9-10 stars defeat Brookville 8-4

Advancing on passed balls played a major role in the St. Marys Little League Softball Minor League All-Stars' 8-4 victory over Brookville on Friday evening. Six of St. Marys' eight runs were the result of passed balls.
Rebekka Bauer worked all six innings for St. Marys, giving up one hit, walking nine and striking out 11. Brookville's Carlie McManigle also went the distance, giving up two hits, walking six and striking out nine.
St. Marys' two hits came on a triple by Josie Smith and a double by Bauer. Brookville's lone hit was a single by Bailey Ganoe in the second inning.

Punxsy eliminates St. Marys 9-10 baseball stars 6-4 in 9 innings

The Punxsutawney 9-10-year-old Little League Baseball all-stars eliminated the St. Marys team Friday night by a 6-4 score in nine innings. The game was played at Memorial Park.
St. Marys finished play in the District 10 South Division Tournament with a 2-2 record.
St. Marys had eight hits in the contest. Jared Groll had a triple and a single while Jesse McKee, Nate Beimel and Alec Wehler each had a double and a single. Ryan Fritz also singled.
