The Elk County Catholic Crusaders raised their record to 5-1 in the Allegheny Mountain League with a 67-38 victory over the Curwensville Golden Tide last night at the ECCHS gym.
The St. Marys Area swim teams defeated the Central Mountain squads Monday night in a meet held at the SMAHS Natatorium.
The St. Marys Area gymnastics squad defeated the DuBois Area squad 119.175 to 114.95 in a meet held Monday night at the St. Marys Area Middle School.
When the District 9 Competitive Spirit Championship at DuBois Area High School ended just after noon on Saturday, St. Marys Area High School was declared the District 9 champion and Keystone Area High School was the runner-up. However, after the competition ended a scoring error was discovered that resulted in St. Marys Area and Keystone being named co-champions.
The St. Marys Area Lady Dutch's game against Williamsport on Saturday afternoon at the SMAHS Dutch Oven came to an exciting conclusion as senior Kiana Hoohuli hit a two at the buzzer to give the Lady Dutch a 53-51 victory.
