The St. Marys Little League Softball Major League All Star team opened play in the District 10 North/South Combined Division Tournament on Monday evening at Benzinger Park as they earned a 9-4 victory over the DuBois squad.

A rally by the St. Marys Legion baseball squad came up short Sunday night at Berwind Park as the Port Allegany squad held on for an 8-6 victory.

The St. Marys American Legion Post 103 squad got down early and were unable to rally as they dropped a 6-1 contest to the Fox Township American Legion Post 511 team on Wednesday evening in a game played in Fox Township.

Johnsonburg's school year may have ended over a week ago but the Rams' success in the PIAA playoffs this season sure hasn't.
Johnsonburg advanced to the PIAA Class A championship game with an 8-1 win over WPIAL champion California in the PIAA semifinals Tuesday night at First Commonwealth Bank Field in Homer City.

The annual Pizza Tournament, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament that is typically a Friday night staple at Memorial Park, kicked off for the summer on Saturday evening at Fox Township Community Park in a special event held in conjunction with the Relay for Life.

The St. Marys Area Lady Dutch played strong defensively on Monday afternoon, but it was not enough as the squad came up short 2-0 to the Greensburg Salem Golden Lions in a PIAA Class AAA opening round game played at Hampton High School.
The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusader softball team saw their season come to an end on Monday afternoon as the squad dropped a 9-1 contest to the Neshannock Lancers in a PIAA Class A opening round game played at Hampton High School.
