Elizabeth J. "Bette" Gregory, 81, a recent resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home, and formerly of Elk Towers, St. Marys, died on Wednesday, April 3, 2013.
She was born January 18, 1932 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Joseph and Emma Friedl Grande.
Harold L. Meyer, 79, of 1186 Monroe Road, St. Marys, died on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Elk Haven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
He was born May 15, 1933 in St. Marys, a son of the late LeRoy and Agnes Glatt Meyer.
On May 3, 1970 in Emporium, he married the late Grace Breindel Meyer, who preceded him in death on June 3, 2010.
Nellie H. Nitsche, 97, of the Elk Haven Nursing Home, St. Marys, and formerly of Wilcox, died Wednesday afternoon, April 3, 2012, at Elk Haven Nursing Home in St. Marys following a lengthy illness.
She was born October 15, 1915 in Brookston, daughter of the late Thomas and Josephine Szaidek Wantuck.
On November 23, 1938 in Holy Cross Church, Rasselas she married Frank J. Nitsche, and he preceded her in death July 16, 2003.
She resided in Wilcox most of her life. She had lived at Silver Creek Terrace for five years.
Richard H. "Dick" Simbeck, 82, of 533 North Michael Street, St. Marys, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the Elk Regional Health Center after a lengthy illness.
He was born November 28, 1930 in St. Marys, son of the late Henry and Irene Davis Simbeck.
On August 7, 1954, in the St. Mary’s Church, he married Donna Gahr, who survives.

Catherine L. "Cathy" Rimer, 56, of 163 Rita Lane, Weedville, died Monday evening, April 1, 2013 at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh after a lengthy illness.
She was born February 28, 1957 in Punxsutawney, daughter of the late Lee and Myrtle Smith Barnett.
On June 3, 1978 in the Weedville Wesleyan Church she married Rick Rimer, who survives.
Mrs. Rimer was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of the St. Marys Area High School, class of 1975. She also attended Penn State University in DuBois. She was a former employee of the former Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital.
April 1st
George P. "Kayo" Hetrick, 84, of 143 Houston Rd., St. Marys, died Monday, April 1, 2013 at the DuBois Nursing Home after a brief illness.
He was born August 12, 1928, in Byrnedale, son of the late George and Kathryn McDaniel Hetrick. On November 8, 1952, in the St. Mary's Church, he married Arlene C. Reider, who survives.
Sheri R. Greak, 66, of 815 Middletown Rd., Lake City, died Monday, April 1, 2013 at Ridgmont Assisted Living Facility after a lengthy illness.
She was born June 6, 1946, in McKeesport, the daughter of the late Arthur B. and Ethel R. Snyder.
She married Leonard G. Greak (PSP) , and he predeceased her in death on April 29, 2003.
She graduated from Holy Ghost Academy, Mercy Hospital (Pittsburgh), and Hananaham (Philadelphia) with a degree in Nursing.

David L. Mahoney, 46, of 41 West Cardott St., Ridgway, died Saturday morning at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
He was born July 9, 1966 in Ridgway, son of J. Leo and Betty A. (Pavlock) Mahoney.
He married Wendy S. Gardner on August 21, 1993, and she survives.
He had resided in Ridgway for the last 20 years and was a former Johnsonburg resident. He was a member of the Hallton Church. He was a 1986 graduate of the Johnsonburg High School. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, the Steelers, and vacations to the Outer Banks.
Edith T. Agosti, 94, of Bennetts Valley Highway, Weedville, died Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Sarah Reed Retirement Center in Erie.
She was born August 15, 1918 in Byrnedale, daughter of the late Andrew and Maddelena (Picchetti) Panighetti.
In February 1943 she married Sylvester Agosti and he preceded her in death on March 26, 1980.
Mrs.Agosti lived all her life in Bennetts Valley and was a member of St. Joseph Church. She worked at Airco Speer for many years. She loved traveling and her family.
March 29th
David J. Zimmett, 67, a recent resident of the Kane Lutheran Home and formerly of Ridgway and St. Marys, died on Friday morning, March 29, 2013 following a lengthy illness.
He was born Feb 17, 1946 in St. Marys, a son of Madeline Wilson Zimmett of St. Marys and the late Joseph Zimmett.
He was Methodist by faith and had been a member of Ridgway United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy. He worked for a number of years at Stackpole Carbon Company and also worked home construction.
He was an avid fisherman and a devoted Yankees fan.
