Shirley Ann Scolari, 67, of 140 Anthony Rd., St. Marys, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014, at the DuBois Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
She was born Oct. 24, 1946 in Ridgway, daughter of the late Lyle E. and Ethel B. Stockman Huggler.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Elk County Christian High School, Class of 1964. She was the owner of the former Scolari Family Day Care for 25 years, and had worked at the Stackpole Carbon Company, Community Nurses, Elk Haven Nursing Home, and Hour Glass Dry Cleaners.
Helen â€śGraceâ€ť (Dumm) Farmery, 60, of Arcadia, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehab Center in Clearfield.
She was born March 15, 1954 in Spangler, daughter of the Archie and â€śHelenâ€ť Grace (Lantzy) Dumm.
Grace had been employed as a caregiver for a daycare.
William T. (Bill) Cherry, 49, of 217 Powers Ave., Johnsonburg, died Monday Aug, 4, 2014 at his residence.
He was born June 2, 1965, in Ridgway, son of John (Skip) Cherry and Carol Pennington Bryndel.
Bill resided in Johnsonburg all of his life. He graduated from Johnsonburg Area High School in 1982.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Church and The Piedmont Club. He loved animals and being with his family.
Richard P. "Dick" Kronenwetter, 82, of 140 Bennett Rd., St. Marys, died Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Penn Highlands Elk.
He was born June 13, 1932, in St. Marys, son of the late Herman and Delores Fritz Kronenwetter.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1950. He was a former employee of the Stackpole Carbon Co., Gasbarre Products in Dubois, and GKN in Emporium. He retired from Fairview Sintered in 1996. He was last employed by Walmart.
On June 25, 1955, in the Sacred Heart Church, he married Sandra Donahey and she survives.
Michael S. Taylor, 63, of 135 Houston Rd., St. Marys, died Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at his residence.
He was born June 16, 1951 in St. Marys, son of the late Kenneth R. Taylor and Anna Kematick Taylor, who survives.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1969. He was employed by GKN Fairview.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his niece, Mollie Taylor.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Glenn R. Taylor of St. Marys, and by a nephew and several nieces.
Dorothy U. Spangler, 75, of 467 Main St., Kersey, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Penn Highlands Elk.
She was born Nov. 6, 1938, a daughter of the late Gabriel Uljon and Mary Kordon Uljon Kofler.
On Sept. 27, 1957 in St. Mary's Church, she married Robert Spangler, who survives.
Pasquale (Pat) Scutella Jr., 89, of 524 Cherry Ave., Ridgway, died Monday, July 28, 2014, at Pinecrest Manor following an illness of the past several months.
He was born June 30, 1925, in Calabria, Italy, the son of Pasquale and Maria Caminiti Scutella.
On May 10, 1947, he married Rose Migliazzo at St. Callistus Church in Kane, and she survives.
David M. Terwilliger, 38, of 450 Chestnut St., St. Marys, died Monday evening, July 28, 2014 in Kersey following injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident.
He was born on Feb. 11, 1976, a son of Harold Terwilliger, who survives, and the late Phyllis Nichols Terwilliger who preceded him in death on Dec. 27, 2011.
On March 27, 1999 in St. Marys, he married Rebecca Donachy Terwilliger, who survives.
Jax Ethan Stone, 9, of Erie, died Sunday, July 27, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Erie on Nov. 11, 2004, a son of Sean Stone and his wife Lisa and Tara Braendel Durian and her husband Steve.
Jax attended Tracy Elementary School. He was selfless, brave, courageous and always helped and cared for others. He enjoyed video games and loved the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and deck hockey.
Sara Jane Beimel, 70, of 686 Shelvey Summit Rd., Kersey, died on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at her residence after an illness of the past year.
She was born Dec. 25, 1943, in Ridgway, daughter of the late Kathryn Thomas.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys High School, Class of 1961. She worked for many years as a beautician at her shop and also served as secretary of Jireh Lanes in Kersey, which her family owns.
On Sept. 1, 1962, in the St. Boniface Church, she married Harold C. Beimel, who survives.
