Earl W. Gaffey

Earl W. Gaffey, 89, of 157 Larch Road, St. Marys, died surrounded by his family on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at his home after a brief illness.
He was born March 23, 1924 in St. Marys, son of the late Thomas V. and Anna Deth Gaffey.
On June 28, 1957 in the Queen of the World Church he married Hazel Meyer, and she preceded him in death on January 9, 2009.

Louise Moore

Louise Moore, 74, of 108 Madison Ave., Ridgway, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at her residence.
She was born February 6, 1939, in St. Marys, the daughter of the late Edmund and Bertha Gardner Shadd.
On March 9, 1955, she married Fred Moore, and he preceded her in death on November 5, 2012.
She had attended St. Marys Public High School. She had been employed at Stackpole Carbon. She enjoyed bingo, reading, and dancing.

Arthur G. “Art” Edwards

April 23, 2013

Arthur G. “Art” Edwards, age 84, of Mars, and formerly of Punxsutawney, Reynoldsville, Sharon, St. Marys and Indiana, died on Tuesday morning, April 23, 2013, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born on June 4, 1928 in Home, he was the son of the late Giles Stephens and Luella Dick Edwards.
He was raised on a farm in Marchard in Jefferson County and graduated from Punxsutawney High School in 1946. He honorably served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army Motorcycle Military Police Division in Western Germany from 1950 to 1953.

Joseph R. Weinzierl, 54, of 121 B Averyville Road, St. Marys, died peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born April 8, 1959 in St. Marys, a son of Mary Ann Krug Weinzierl of St. Marys and the late Leo Weinzierl.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of Queen of the World Church. He was employed by Morgan AM&T for many years. He enjoyed ïŹshing, hunting and shooting trap and skeet. He was a member of the St. Marys Trap and Skeet League.

Alberta L. Wolfe

Alberta L. Wolfe, 80, of 1764 Bucktail Rd., St. Marys, died Friday, April 19, 2013 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born January 28, 1933, in Kersey, daughter of the late Bernard and Helen Thorwart Schneider. On September 15, 1951, in the St. Boniface Church, she married Alvin J. Wolfe, who survives.

James E. Sheeley

James E. Sheeley, 77, of 215 Dagus Mines Road, Kersey, died after a lengthy illness on Thursday, April 18, 2013, at his home with his children and his dog by his side.
He was born April 30, 1935 in Dagus Mines, son of the late Edward J. and Beatrice Cuneo Sheeley. On January 9, 1960 in Ridgway, he married Shirley E. Lyle who preceded him in death on March 29, 2012.

James E. Sheeley, 77, of 215 Dagus Mines Road, Kersey, died after a lengthy illness on Thursday, April 18, 2013, at his home with his children and his dog by his side.
He was born April 30, 1935 in Dagus Mines, son of the late Edward J. and Beatrice Cuneo Sheeley. On January 9, 1960 in Ridgway, he married Shirley E. Lyle who preceded him in death on March 29, 2012.

Florence Rita Arigoni, 90, of 384 Main St., Kersey, died on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a brief illness.
She was born January 27, 1923 in Kersey, daughter of the late Alois and Charlotte Benson Wildfire.
On July 29, 1949 in the St. Boniface Church, she married Henry J. Arigoni, who survives.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Kersey schools. She was a former employee of the St. Marys School District. She was a member of the St. Boniface Church, the Rosary Society and enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

Jeannette Bauer Rynd

Jeannette Bauer Rynd, 88, of Espyville, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at UPMC Horizon in Greenville. 
Born in North Shenango Township on May 22, 1924, she was the daughter of Herman and Leta Linn Bauer. 
She married Charles E. Rynd Sr. on September 23, 1944, and he preceded her in death on May 5, 2002.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Andover, Ohio with the practice of the profession of her Christian faith a life-long personal effort. She was employed from 1970 through 1987 as a medical bookkeeper. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, story writing and baking.
