Elizabeth J. "Betty" Pike, 85, of Blasdell, N.Y., died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015.
Mrs. Pike was a retiree from New York Telephone. Mrs. Pike was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court #1311, Communication Workers of America, Telephone Pioneers, Blasdell Seniors, and a devout member of Our Mother of Good Counsel Church.
Jerome "Jerry" Wittman of Weedville died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015.
He was the son of Mary and the late Thomas Wittman.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Sara "Sally" Wittman; a son, Jesse; and a stepdaughter, Gretchen.
A private funeral service was held for family and friends.
Ermida Pelleschi, 97, a resident of Elk Haven and formerly of Dagus Mines, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015 at the Elk Haven Nursing Home after a brief illness.
She was born May 13, 1917 in Coal Hollow, daughter of the late Alexander and Mary Gornati Agosti. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Kersey High School, Class of 1935.
On Oct. 2, 1937, being the first marriage in Guardian Angels Church in Coal Hollow, she married Dennis Pelleschi, who preceded her in death Feb. 16, 2002.
William James "Bill" Feronti, 67, of 210 Mill St., Johnsonburg, died Thursday evening, Jan. 8, 2015 at his residence.
He was born Aug. 21, 1947 in Johnsonburg, son of the late Charles R. Sr. and Sylvia Baptist Feronti.
He resided in Johnsonburg all his life. He graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1965.
Mr. Feronti was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg Legion Post 501, and Central Hose Company. He was an avid music fan and was adept at playing various instruments. He was a big fan of Elvis Presley and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He will be greatly missed by all.
Anna C. Fodge, 82, of 335 Atlantic St., St. Marys, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2015 at Penn Highlands DuBois after a lengthy illness.
She was born May 15, 1932 in Kersey, daughter of the late John and Grace Brandmiller Lance. On Nov. 22, 1978, she married James A. Fodge, who preceded her in death Oct. 18, 2004.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Kersey High School, Class of 1950. She was a retired employee of Keystone Powdered Metal.
Timothy A. Floravit, 35, of 140 Baker Rd., Beaver Falls, and formerly of St. Marys where he was born and raised, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015 following injuries sustained in an accident in Clarion County.
He was born Oct. 30, 1979, a son of Allen and Karen Facchine Floravit.
On Sept. 4, 2010 in St. Marys, he married Emily Dippold Floravit, who survives.
Eleanor A. Walden, 93, of Manor Care Potomac, Potomac, Md., formerly of 175 Parkway Dr., Emporium, died at Manor Care Potomac, Potomac, Md. Thursday morning, Jan. 8, 2015.
She was born Feb. 10, 1921 in Iselin, daughter of the late Valentino and Amelia Julio Geovanelle.
In Clearfield, she married the late John Walden.
Frederick J. "Fred" Schill, 66, of 58 Launer Lane, Johnsonburg, died on Tuesday evening, Jan. 6, 2015 at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born on Feb. 2, 1948 in Kane, son of Ralph and Wilma Reed Schill. He married Sandra Lewis on Sep. 14, 1968 in St. Marys and she survives.
Mr. Schill resided in Johnsonburg for the past 44 years. He attended Queen of the World school.
He was a member of the VFW, Prince of Piedmont Club in Johnsonburg and Wilcox Sportsmen's Club.
Renee L. Streich, 38, of 759 Johnsonburg Rd., St. Marys, died on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015 at Penn Highlands Elk following a lengthy illness.
She was born on July 25, 1976, a daughter of the late Richard Streich, who preceded her in death on June 1, 1995 and Kathi Snyder Streich, who survives of St. Marys.
Renee was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, class of 1994.
James A. Hoffman, 90, formerly of 1935 Bear Creek Rd., Ridgway, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015 at Pinecrest Manor where he resided for the past three years.
He was born April 18, 1924 in Ridgway, son of the late Charles A. and Estella E. (Cousins) Hoffman.
He had resided in Ridgway all of his life and was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a sergeant with the 310th Signal Operations Battalion in the European Theatre.
He was self-employed for 42 years until his retirement in 1989 from Hoffman Roofing.
